Nothing feels better than being able to pack a passport for a big trip! For me at least, when I am used to flying domestically, an international adventure gets me really pumped up. The perfect finishing touch to your travel ensemble is always a collection of really cute passport covers. This is something I have had my eye on lately because they make the perfect gift. When you are traveling with a group it is a great way to keep yourself from getting your passport mixed up with another person. Also, if you pick a bright color (like neon ;)) your passport will never get lost.

While this is a great thing to buy for yourself, it also makes an amazing gift (especially since you can get some of them for only $4!). Your favorite traveler will always think of you in customs. This is also an item that many people do not think to buy for themselves so it becomes a perfect item that they might never have thought they needed. I love using these are stocking stuffers or quick gifts for my friends—especially during the holidays when it feels like you are buying a gift for everyone on your list.

I am not saying that a passport case is going to change your life or anything. However, I do believe that it is a small purchase that can make your travel day go smoothly and with style. This is what first comes to mind for many when thinking of passport covers. That classic Louis Vuitton logo pattern that screams luxury. This one is for a frequent flyer who has racked up many miles and loves to travel. This is a lust-worthy item that many people aspire to eventually have as an accessory for their travels. Don’t just stick with Louis Vuitton though! There are many other brands that have options for this like Balenciaga or Prada that are more unique. Vuitton is tried, true, and forever a classic but very hard to find so you might have to go consignment on this one!

Look For Less

As much as I love the luxury items, the price can be polarizing for something you do not get to use every day. If you want the look for less, I recommend either checking out consignment or luxury passport dupes. I like The Real Real for all of my consignment needs and they always have cute passport covers. There are also many options on Amazon and Etsy that are much less than the luxury price—sometimes at only about $20. Definitely, give these options a try if you are bent on luxury but don’t have the means.

Classic

Moving away from brand names and logos, a great way to cover your passport is with something very simple. I like how sleek and carefree the classic and it is also very practical. I think this is a great opportunity to add a monogram and personalize your travel items. The classic option is clean, simple, and very much needed in your travel schedule. The luxury options can look like they are meant for logo chasers so if you define elegance by simplicity you would definitely lean towards this option. If you are buying this as a gift for someone you really can’t go with this option and they are bound to like it.

Look-A-Like

I have not seen many people using this option in person but on Amazon, there are so many colors that it comes in. This is a win-win because it’s easy to find and it’s not too popular. Having a passport cover that is twinning with your actual passport is a subtle option. This would be a great gift for men because it is even more subtle than the classic options. I like that it comes in so many colors because that gives it a remix on the naked passport. Definitely, a cool one to try!

This is for the girls who love brands like Lily Pulitzer. A nice tropical print can really brighten up your travel day even if you are going on a ski trip or to a city. I love these because they are eye-catching and bold and the opportunities are endless. You will want to carry your passport cover with you even when you aren’t traveling to show off the goods. I am definitely a fan of this option because I know there are a lot of girls where I go to school that would love it.

There are so many cute little slogans on cute passport covers. There are many options with travel-related mantras such as”Au Revoir” or “Adventure Awaits.” To some, it might be cheesy but to others, it is a great reminder to have a great trip. These options are very instagrammable and people tend to share shots of them frequently. I might not try this one for myself but it would be a great gift!

remember spending a lot of time when I was studying abroad in London waiting in line through customs. It is never a fun experience for anyone and no matter how often you travel—it doesn’t really get easier. I never had a passport cover during my time abroad even though it was something that I had meant to purchase for a while. After all of the research and thought I put into this article for you all, I definitely will be ordering this on Amazon Prime in the next few days. Who knows when I will be going abroad again but it’s best to always be prepared! Seriously, if I could put my passport in a new outfit every time I traveled I would!
