I am starting to think that swimsuit prices are becoming ridiculous. $300 for 2 inches of fabric? Not today, Satan. The best places to buy cheap swimsuits are sometimes difficult to find because it seems like it an impossible feat. There are a lot of websites selling these types of items for a budget but can all of them be trusted? I think not.

The most important thing for me when shopping for swimsuits is honestly the return policy. Swimwear and lingerie are the most difficult products when it comes to sizing. Bra and bikini shopping has suddenly become my worst nightmare. The worst part of it all is that there are not many good affordable swimsuit places that have physical stores that you can go to. Online shopping is going to be your best friend when aiming to save a bit of cash and that is why I rely on the return policy. Obviously, free returns are ideal, but you at least want it to be a low price if a return is necessary. Some websites I have explored require you to pay for shipping AND they are house internationally. If the return could potentially cost you more than the product itself than you should try to head to a different website.

With the return issue being the most important thing, I think it is vital for a swimsuit to be possible to be purchased as separates. The cheapest swimsuits will be sold with both pieces as one item. However, these are not the best cheap swimsuits. If you are lucky enough to be the same size on top as you are on the bottom than lucky you! You will definitely save the most and that is truly a gift!! For me, it is not that simple.

The best places to buy cheap swimsuits will sell them to you separately, but with a catch. When swimsuits are sold as separates, the price always gets jacked up. There are so many brands I have seen sell a one-piece for less than a two-piece just because they can. This is so frustrating but we just live with it. A good hack that a lot of people use is buying a more expensive bikini top and then heading to the affordable websites for a solid colored bottom that is similar to the top. Problem solved!

My friends at Tobi sent me this amazing swimsuit and it was love at first sight. I have always been afraid to try the high-waisted style, even though I love my high-waisted jeans. This is such a good way to ease into it because the fishnet paneling is super flattering and keeps it from being too 60s. I remember just a year or two ago when fishnet was the absolute craze. How crazy is that? Just keep checking up on their website and at the right time pounce on that bikini, you are obsessed with. I always say this site is good for mixing and matching because they make all of their product in so many colors and patterns. Boohoo is really one of those websites that grabs a hold of you.

ASOS

When ordering online, I frequently bite off a bit more than I can chew. That’s why for my last swimsuit ordering session, I headed to ASOS. They have affordable options and the best return policy of all, especially if you live in London. I ordered maybe 8 swimsuits and you will be astounded how many of them actually fit. Literally only ½ of a suit. Just the top. Luckily, I was headed to Spain, so clothing optional, but yeah it happened.

You are probably wondering why I am recommending Asos if I had an issue with it in the past. The sizing thing is just me. My body shape on top is really difficult with bikinis so I have the same problem no matter where I shop. But Asos has more product than any other website. Fun fact: it stands for “As Seen on Screen.” With so many fun brands, you will be able to find so many styles that you like and hopefully, you can get the sizing right. What I think I will try to do next time is find a suit that I really want and order it in all of the sizes possible. Then one of them will have to fit me! Really though, you can’t lose with an order from Asos.

With swimsuits, I feel like more is more. You can never have too many options especially if you are spending this summer near a beach or pool. For an NYC girl like me, my swimsuits orders will be few and far between but we always have those summers where it feels like we are in need of a new suit.
