Billie Eilish is the hot, young, new artist that if you haven’t listened to yet you better start now. Her music is so amazing it has made a name for itself but it’s the Billie Eilish style that has made her stand out in the music scene even more. When her first album was released she was only 15 and now a year later she has grown into a personality so big even Lana Del Rey can’t ignore her.
Even though she is growing rapidly as a celebrity she still has the idgaf attitude of a teenage girl that we all want. I mean, her Instagram name is literally “where are the avocados.”
A few days ago, I was on a run in Brooklyn and saw her on the street. I really could not have missed her because of how out there her style was. I was on the complete opposite side of the street. While I did not have the opportunity to say hi, I think my ability to spot her on the streets says a lot about how much I love her style.
Billie Eilish style is so unique and out-there that I predict she will be more than a music sensation but also our next fashion icon. Her fashion choices remind me of Rihanna because they are so difficult to pull-off yet she makes them work. Suddenly all of her fans are lined up to shop from the streetwear brands that dress her.
This is all incomplete without streetwear and she is a big fan of the logomania trend. Logomania has been all the rave from the runways to the streets but she takes it to a whole new level. Besides, logomania, Billie Eilish style take a new spin on androgyny. The silhouettes of the clothes she wears completely disregard the stereotypical female form and create a new shape completely unique to her style. Everything she wears is multiple sizes too big and covered in the biggest designer names. This is ugly fashion to the absolute maximum. Think hoodies, fanny packs, Bermuda shorts, and everything your grandmother would not be happy to see you wear.
These fashion choices almost contradict the soft feminine voice she has as she writes heartbreaking love songs with a sarcastic twist. I really admire that she has taken such a big risk when it comes to fashion because I think it is what is helping her stand out so much. There are so many people making music right now so doing something different and unique is really valuable. Get ready to hate this so much you will just have to fall in love. The trademarks of Billie Eilish style:
Logomania
Who doesn’t love a Gucci logo. Billie takes Gucci Gang to a whole other level with her looks. She has collaborated frequently with @imran_portato on Instagram who is known for creating trendy items that include the Gucci logo. This trend is wildly popular which Billie capitalizes on. The items that she wears are hard to come accross because they are either designer or one-of-a-kind items. Lucky for you, I found some great options on Amazon to get this look.

Bucket Hats
This recent comeback trend is so polarizing. Coming straight back from the ’90s these went from something for obnoxious frat boys to the most fashionable people in the world. I have noticed that a pretty good styling tip from Billie. If her outfit is already really extra, she will choose a simple bucket hat like the one below. When her look is more toned down she will pull out a bold option like this neon green one. I thought I would never wear a bucket hat and then I found one to wear to a Yankee’s game and finally gained an appreciation for the trend.

Sweatsuits
It is so so hard to find sweatsuits as cool as the ones that Billie wears. They are all so unique and perfectly created for her personal style. This is an obvious choice for her because of how sporty and tomboy she is. A sweatsuit is hard to pull off but Billie really makes this work. I think these looks are my favorite things that she wears because it brings out her personality. Comfort, in this case, is definitely key. It’s nice that we can look fashionable and yet be so comfortable at the same time. If you are looking for a more feminine option, Danielle Guizio makes an amazing collection of matching sweatsuits that I have had my eyes on lately.
Bermuda Shorts
The oversized boy shorts that Billie wears are very important to her personal style because an important aspect of her style is the fact that she does not wear form-fitting clothing. Everything is oversized for her. On the topic of her oversized shorts, she mentioned in an interview that she has “no ass” and doesn’t think anyone needs to see “all that” in a humorous way. She claimed she dresses like a boy because of this and because she just loves shopping in the men’s section. The shorts she wears are something that no other females in the music industry are attempting to pull off. It makes it pretty inspiring that at such a young age she is not afraid to experiment with her style outside of the boundaries.
I seriously think what she is doing with her sense of style. Her originality and youth are some of the things that draw me to her music. She is a fashion icon of our generation that draws on the outer corners of our culture. A literal hypebae on steroids. I see her as an extreme version of the style that I want to have. This is good because when she wears an extreme or intense outfit, I pick and choose options for inspiration. Anyone else obsessed? If any of her looks have affected your personal sense of style, let me know!
