Monochrome has been trending for the past year or so and what this means is we are seeing a lot of colors everywhere from the streets to the runway. This summer, millennial pink was the hue on everybody’s lips. Pink looks better against blue skies than it does with fall leaves which is where yellow comes in. This color is not something everyone can pull of. If it’s worn the wrong way it can actually look pretty terrible. Pastels are definitely trending overall so the simple shift from pink to yellow as the seasons change is a logical fashion decision. Many yellows from neon construction tape to French’s mustard are moving into our closets. As it gets colder, I am happy about the idea of having a sunny color around. LF Stores is always on top of the hottest trends before they even happen so I loved styling this look there. I chose to make the color match my style with a gold necklace, an edgy leather skirt, and shiny black boots.
Shoutout to my assistant stylist and photographer Lauren Horsman!!
