It’s no secret that ruffles are the biggest trend of the summer. When walking around the city, it sometimes feels like everyone is headed to a big picnic. While it seems at first that this is a trend designed only for the ultra-feminine southern sorority girl; it’s important to think again. Making a trend like this edgy is my specialty. I chose to combine these frames with the smoky eye to revolutionalize this look and make it more badass. I spoke earlier about the return of Kurt Cobain sunglasses, and I had to jump on this trend fast. Even though I wanted the black ones, I’m glad to have a unique item. I’m not a person who wears makeup like this often, but taking a risk for this shoot really paid off in the end. I can’t imagine this look without the bold smoky eye!
