Previously I wrote about the Yeezy Season 6 collection and I criticized it a lot for the fact that it is so easy to duplicate. While I still stand by this criticism of the collection, I have seen the trends move from this collection to the streets in a fascinating way. This is why I have decided, three months later, to dedicate this blog post to update the news about this show. Monochrome athleisure has become really popular amongst a lot of the trendy bloggers. One of my other main criticisms of the collection and of Yeezy, in general, is the price point. While it is much better than some of the outrageous designer brands like Vetements, this collection is priced in a controlling way. Most items had to be bought in a pack so having one piece from the collection was difficult to achieve. At this point, the majority of the clothing options are sold out anyways. This is why I wanted to bring you a collection of Yeezy clothing alternatives that will get you the Yeezy Season 6 look for less.
A lot of trends emerge from street style bloggers and celebrities and in this case, the use of Kim Kardashian as advertising was extremely successful. For almost a month, every paparazzi image of Kim featured her dressed in different Yeezy Season 6 outfits. From her home in Calabasas to places as far away as Tokyo, the collection was taken worldwide before it was released. This led to a lot of fast fashion retailers and other streetwear brands picking up on some of these trends. To me, it is actually fascinating to see someone completely live their life in one simple designer brand. The fact that it works for any weather, climate, or event is pretty cool. Now, it seems like everyone is wearing the cropped sweatshirts, oversized tees, and cycling shorts. The amount of Yeezy clothing alternatives that exist now are endless.
The Color Scheme
We have always known Yeezy for bringing neutrals and monochrome to the front stage through casual luxury clothing. I think it is the monochrome aspect of this that makes the Yeezy look so sophisticated even though it is casual. The minimalistic color options that are offered in this collection are mainly camel, dark grey, blue-grey, black, and white. Wearing camel athleisure has been associated with Yeezy for a while but now the shades of grey are a newer addition to the Yeezy trademarks. To really get Yeezy clothing alternatives for less you will have to look for the items I am about to list in these color schemes.
Strappy Mules
Yeezy Season 6 Minimal Heel (sold out almost everywhere) $425 in size 11 / HERE
I meant to only talk about Yeezy clothing alternatives but we really can’t forget the shoes in this collection. To be honest, I am not a fan of the Yeezy sneakers and a lot of the shoes from this brand are too simple and basic for me. However, a particular shoe this time around did stand out to me. The season 6 minimal sandal has such a futuristic design and for this reason, it can’t go unnoticed. This style is minimalistic and sleek with a great heel making it a very sexy shoe. There are a lot of amazing shoes on the market in this style so here are my favorite options!
- Calvin Klein $120 / HERE , 2. Sol Sana $160 / HERE , 3. Stiletto $5o HERE , 4. Perspex Kitten Heel $50 / HERE
Cycling Shorts
Biker shorts have been the most notable effect of this collection because prior to these photos being released, the trend was non-existent. I am now seeing it so often on the trendier Instagram girls I follow that I am this close to pulling the trigger and getting a pair of bike shorts. They seem so hard to pull off but the casual and chic ways these girls have paired it makes it seem easier than I thought. They look so effortless and can help you get a comfortable casual look. This can be worn casual with sneakers or dressed up when you add a pair of heels and a crop top.
My picks: Ribbed Camel Biker Short $66 / HERE, White Cycling Shorts $17 / HERE, Black Stretch Jersey Biking Shorts $6 / HERE, Gray Slinky Shorts $17 / HERE
Oversized Sweatshirts and Tees
This has been trending for a while, especially with thrift shop junkies, but Yeezy has taken it on its own. I love this because it is a form of androgyny that ends up being really appealing when paired with a form-fitting pair of cycling shorts or leggings. To me, this is the essential ingredient to the cycling short part of the Yeezy Season 6 formula because of the contrast that the silhouette has. This is also an easy find at so many different stores and online shops so it will be an easy Yeezy clothing alternative to find out and about. Still, online tends to be where the best prices are so here are some good options!

Itty-Bitty Crop Tops
A big contrast to the previously mentioned clothing item, this is the only truly feminine staple piece of the collection which is why it brings it full circle. Perfect for the summer and always at an accessible price this is the Yeezy clothing alternative that you will probably end up wearing anyway. The aspect that you are looking for to achieve the look is something I would call “barely there.” Thin straps and small strips of fabric are all you really need. This is definitely worth finding an affordable price since its everywhere.

So there you go! With this guide, you will be able to completely get the paparazzi shots that Kim Kardashian and the rest of the Yeezy Season 6 celebrities. This is a pretty easy designer brand to dress like because of how simple it is. This touches the heart with its reminiscents of the 1980s through the cycling shorts and the 1990s due to the oversized tees. If you end up taking a leap with these Yeezy clothing alternatives, send me your final looks. I want to see the end results! I intend on giving this a shot within the next few weeks so keep posted on my Instagram to see it.
